"Calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence, so that's very important for good health." - Dalai Lama
Have you been in a situation where you saw a picture of yourself photographed together with people who were “healthy”? They are energetic, fitter and less stressed. Here you are looking at your image in a mirror asking yourself: “What do they have that I don’t have? I am fit but I am so stressed out and less energetic…I am not that fat nor am I that thin. What’s wrong with me?” or you might have this conversation in your head – “I will never lose the weight that I wanted to…it’s hard and it takes a lot of work. I can never look like them.”
At times the cause of you being unhealthy is not the food that you put into your mouth but the conversations that you have in your head. Take for instance, the thought of not being energetic & more stressed out when you are considered healthy in society’s health standards. What about a different conversation of not being able to lose the weight because it is “hard work”. You need to start looking and dissecting your innermost thoughts and emotions. As you do this inquiry, you might surprise yourself that you are avoiding, repressing and resisting the thoughts and emotions.
